Where God's Kingdom Meets Man's Heart.
He is Risen! The Lord is Risen Indeed! Hallelujah!!!
The stone rolled away, the empty tomb, the neatness of the collapsed grave clothes, the appearance of angels, Jesus speaking to Mary Magdalene, His many appearances, the beginning and growth in the hearts and numbers of His followers, the changed world after and His still emblazoned touch on the present.
What happened 2000 years ago is still happening in the hearts and minds of those who believe He is not only risen and alive but ruling as Lord of all existence through the power of the Holy Spirit from His Father’s right hand in the Kingdom of Heaven. He fulfilled the Scripture and all its prophecy, He overcame the best the devil could throw at Him and He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to open up and lead us through the whole sphere of the unseen, the spiritual dimension. He gave us spiritual sight, spiritual understanding and restored our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
The Resurrection shows everything physical points to something spiritual.
Walk with me for a moment into that scene the disciples saw when they came and entered the tomb. Consider the three immediate things that impressed them, the stone rolled away, the empty tomb, the grave clothes.
The stone rolled away---Ezekiel 36:26 The Lord said, “I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Our hearts were hardened by sin, its fear and self-centeredness. Now He gives us a new heart for Him and others. The Heart of Jesus.
The empty tomb---Genesis 3:10 When God asks Adam where he is after he disobeyed God, he replies, “I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” Adam’s body no longer had the Spirit of God to lead Him. God was outside so he was spiritually empty. Sin and fear consumed him. Ezekiel 36:27 “I will put my Spirit in you…and I will be your God.” We are empty tombs until we are reborn spiritually from above. The Person and Body of Jesus.
The grave clothes---Genesis 3:7 Adam and Eve made clothes out of fig leaves to cover themselves. We have been doing the same ever since but in 3:21 God made garments for them and clothed them. .” After raising Lazarus Jesus told the family, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” The figs leaves of the standards of this world are the grave clothes. Ps.132:9 “May your priests be clothed with righteousness.” Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:10 on to put on the full armor of God. God clothes us in His righteousness; His Spirit, His Word and His Presence. The Spirit of Jesus.
Thank you Lord God for giving us the way, the truth and the life.
The Lord is risen! He is risen indeed!!! Hallelujah!!!
