Good News: 75,000 People Gather for Premier Focus Marriage Conference
Nearly 75,000 people gathered at 500 churches across the U.S. on Saturday for the first-ever “Focus on Marriage” simulcast event.
The landmark conference, which was held at the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo., featured Beth Moore, Dr. Gary Smalley, Dr. John Trent, Dr. Del Tackett and Gary Thomas. Five-time Dove Award winner Jeremy Camp led worship.
“The numbers are very positive, but the success of the event will be measured in the lives of the men and women who participated, and in their families,” said Jenny Tyree, marriage analyst at Focus on the Family Action.
“We believe in marriage, and the simulcast is just one more way Focus on the Family can come alongside couples and help them give the best of themselves to each other and to their children.”
A DVD of the historic conference may be in the works.
