SARAH'S PRAYER-
WRITTEN IN JAX BEFORE SHE WAS FIRED [WRITTEN LATE 1998 OR EARLY 99-- TEN > ELEVEN YEARS AGO ]
AFTER HOME PRAYER MEETING WHERE SHE WAS PRAYED FOR BY DANNY GRASTON AFTER SAYING SHE WAS WORRIED ABOUT HER MEMORY
[I DIDNT THINK MUCH ABOUT HER PROBLEM AS SHE ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT MAKING MISTAKES --AND SELDOM MADE ANY I KNEW OF--BUT HER
SUPERVISOR AT WORK WAS HAVING TO HELP HER WITH THE REQUIRED TEDIOUS PAPERWORK WHICH SOMEONE IN THE SCHOOL NURSING OFFICE AUDITED
EVERY WEEK FOR MISTAKES / OMISSIONS---HER BOSS LATER TOLD ME THEY HAD BEEN HAVING TO "CARRY" HER FOR SOME TIME--GOD BLESS DEBBIE FOR HELPING HER FOR MONTHS.--ANOTHER OLD FRIEND AT ONE OF HER SCHOOLS [ SHE HAD FIVE SCHOOLS ] HAD ALSO BEEN HELPING HER AT THAT SCHOOL BUT HAD RECENTLY TOLD HER THAT SHE DIDNT HAVE THE TIME TO KEEP DOING IT FOR HER [AS OBVIOUSLY WAS GETTING WORSE ]
DURING THIS TIME WE WERE TRYING TO GET TRANSFERED TO A SCHOOL IN LIVE OAK TO GET OUT OF THE IMPOSSIBLE FIVE SCHOOL STRESS IN JAX

THIS PRAYER SHE CARRIED WITH HER FOR LONG TIME -OBVIOUSLY STRUGGLING TO KEEP HER JOB AND HER DIGNITY THROUGH TRYING TIME THAT VERY FEW KNEW SHE WAS HAVING---SHE HAD ALWAYS BEEN A SUCCESSFUL PERFECTIONIST ABOUT THIS KIND OF THING---IT WAS THREE YEARS LATER THAT THE DIAGNOSIS OF ALZHEIMER'S WAS MADE BY A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST -- WHO WAS HORRIFIED THAT OUR DR.---THE STAFF OF 20 R.N.'S AT SCHOOL NURSE OFFICE--AND A NEUROLOGIST SHE SENT US TO HAD NOT RECOGNIZED THE DISEASE AND STARTED TREATMENT EFFORT.


[HER SPELLING] YOU CAN SEE EVEN BACK THEN THE PROBLEMS SHE WAS HAVING--SHE MADE ALMOST ALL "A"'S IN NURSING SCHOOL[GRAD. REGISTERED NURSE IN 1992 AT AGE 50 ]

Father,
I pled [plead] the Blood of Jesus over my mind. I recall quickly and acturtily all short term and long term memories.
I believe that because Jesus is my Lord , my mind will work highly successfully today.
I make the decision to lean on,trust and be confident in the Lord with all my heart and mind, and I do not rely on my own insight or understanding.
For the Spirit of Truth abides and dwells within me and He teaches me all things and revels all things to me.
So whatever the circumstance or situation I make the decision to rely own His skillful and godly wisdom ;
and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding ; and He hides sound and godly wisdom and stores it for me.
I move and have my being in the wisdom of God.
I thank you Lord that i can grow as Jesus grew becoming strong in spirit ,being filed with wisdom , grace and favor

HAVE A RESPONSE ??
[CH] I WAS VERY "MOVED" LOOKING BACK--I DIDNT REALIZE BACK THEN HOW MUCH SHE WAS SUFFERING BY NOT BEING ABLE TO FUNCTION NORMALLY
COULD HAVE BEEN MORE SYMPATHETIC IF HAD REALIZED HER FEELINGS---FINDING THIS PRAYER HAS REALLY ALERTED ME TO OUR HISTORY
MORE RECENTLY--2 YRS BACK OR SO --SHE FREQUENTLY TALKED ABOUT NOT WANTING TO DIE AND I KEPT ASSURING HER THAT SHE WAS GOING TO LIVE A LONG TIME AS WAS TOO YOUNG TO DIE--THAT SEEMED TO SATISFY HER--HASNT MENTIONED IT ANY MORE---NOW I THINK SHE IS PRETTY PEACEFUL FORGETTING HER OLD FEARS
[LIKE POP DID ] THE "FUTURE" IS TOO ABSTRACT TO GET HER ATTENTION---DAD [CH]

I was too. My memory of it was similar. I had definitely gotten the impression that she was having difficulty at work. It saddens me to think of how hard it must have been for her to struggle through it. I guess I am suprised that none of us (and especially those she worked with in the medical field) realized how significant the problems were and the possible causes.
I am definitely glad that she has gotten through the paranoid and frightned stage that she was in for a spell.
It was nice to see her light up with the kids during our last visit which reminded me that the sweet kind person that we grew up with is still there and that there is still joy in her heart. --JEFF
