If Jesus is the truth then truth is an event, a constantly moving event, a stream of events in which Jesus reveals Himself over and over as people who believe in Him let His Word guide their attitude, their ideas and their behavior in the presence of others.

It follows then that truth is the Holy Spirit nudging, urging, inspiring, prompting, convicting us to think Jesus, His Word and manifest His attitude.

Truth is the mind of Jesus being personal through us. It is His reasoning guiding our minds. His intellect restores our intellect.

Truth is Jesus being humble before His Father through us. Humility before the Father is the way the Spirit brings Jesus to the forefront of our daily consciousness.

When Scripture says that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control and we yield to that fruit of the Spirit, it is Jesus acting His Father’s will through us.

Check the Scripture to verify these conclusions:

John 3:5 “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” Note the number of times Jesus says “I tell you the truth” in the Gospel of John as well as the other Gospels. In the King James Version He uses the phrase, ‘verily or verily, verily I say unto you.’ Verily comes from the Latin word ‘veritas-truth.’

Paul in Philippians 2:5 expresses his experience of Jesus being in us, “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:…” And if that is not conclusive enough note his teaching in Romans 8:9-11, “But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won't know what we're talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God's terms. It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's!” (The Message Bible).

In other words truth is more than a word or a concept. Truth is alive because Jesus is alive and He is the truth.
