Hi, Sandy. I can't tell you how many times I have started to write to you and just had to get to bed or do school stuff or whatever . . . my bad! Yes, Rian is my friend and I am going to visit for a week in July and help with the babies. I'm sooooo excited! We have a precious 15-month-old grandson to die for. He's a bit rotten, but sweeeet and a chunk of a boy and funny and adorable. He has me and Mike pretty much in the palm of his hand!
I have--as of this month--completed 30 years. I have also been surplussed. I have my appt. to enroll in DROP set for early May. In May I also am to begin my course work to aquire my Florida Reading Endorsement. That means MAYBE I could stay at DA and teach reading -- to students who can't read and don't much care that they can't. I've been told it is a very unpleasant group. OR I might get the principal at Englewood to pick me off of the surplus list to there to teach reading. They have bunches of kids who can't read. At least Englewood isn't too far away.OR I could get assigned to who-knows-where and have who-knows-what to do everyday!! It is a bad scene. I really wanted to do DROP for 5 years and save for travelling in retirement. I'm beginning to question that decision. I carry our health insurance and that is a biggy.

Mike and I no longer attend All Souls. We have been attending Lakewood United Methodist but have not joined. I still have other places to visit first. I do know some people there, but it is huge!! The prob with that is that my mom has finall started going with us (for 2 weeks). She hasn't been going to church at all because she 1. has a hard time getting going in mornings and 2. is annoyed with Mandarin Un. Meth. So if we change, I don't what she would do. Oi!

THe pictures of the German looking area were taken in Helen, Georgia....which is about an hour's mountain drive from our home in GA. The ones of the rafting were taken at the Ocoee River - which is also in GA and it is were the Olymics were held for the Atlanta games. for white water rafint. Many of the other pictures are from Alaska --where our daughter and her family lives. What a beautiful area. Pray for our son -in -law - 1st SGT Vern Daley and his troops....they leave for Afganistan next week and will need lots of prayer cover. God Bless. Kren

Yes they will call the baby Phoenix Cash although that is not a double name, just the last name is Cash. And yes you will know when she arrives. We are taking the camera and the laptop so the world will get to see pictures within days of her birth and celebrate with the grandparents.

You are sweet Sandy to be thinking about her and the new little one. We are leaving Mar. 17th and will be able to stay until April 26th. What a blessing and for no charge. Gabe is the manager of a small apt. complex (29 apts) and we are staying in one that that use generally for an office and break room for workers. Anyway they are putting in enough furniture for us to get by and they are just up the stairs. Nice huh? Pam and Ginger are having a shower for her in March and I've requested small and soft things that I will be able to pack.. We can't wait. Your girls are so cute! How is the business going in these trying financial times? Sure pray that you all are holding on. Love to you

Hi Sandy! How great to see you and the pictures of your grandbabies! They are adorable. I have two grandbabies and one on the way in July. They are all in California and we get out there when we can, but it is far, far, away! I have some great pictures but have not figured out how to put them on here. I usually put them on Shutterfly. Anyhow, I have been traveling a lot with Jim on church business, and I have not had time to get the pictures organized. Later... We are enjoying our time at Calvary where Jim is helping Shawn Porter. We are also excited about the new Anglican Church in North America starting up in June. We hope that the Anglican Alliance of North Florida and Georgia will become a diocese in that new church at some point. Right now we need a bishop in Florida and we don't have one. It's a long story. Bottom line, Jim and I are doing fine and in great health. God is so good! Hope to keep in touch with many folks on line too. Thanks to Whitey for starting this site.
