Pentecost 36 Water Anyone?

Ezek.47:1-2 Now he brought me back to the entrance to the Temple. I saw water pouring out from under the Temple porch to the east (the Temple faced east). The water poured from the south side of the Temple, south of the altar. He then took me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the gate complex on the east. The water was gushing from under the south front of the Temple.
3-5 He walked to the east with a measuring tape and measured off fifteen hundred feet, leading me through water that was ankle-deep. He measured off another fifteen hundred feet, leading me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another fifteen hundred feet, leading me through water waist-deep. He measured off another fifteen hundred feet. By now it was a river over my head, water to swim in, water no one could possibly walk through.
6-7 He said, "Son of man, have you had a good look?"

This was written some 600 years before Jesus came. Consider the following verses: Jn.413-14, Jesus said, "Everyone who drinks this water [Jacob’s well] will get thirsty again and again. Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst—not ever. The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life." John 7:37-40) "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes in me this way, just as the Scripture says." (He said this in regard to the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were about to receive. The Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.)”

Each of us is a spring from whom the Holy Spirit will flow forth and those who hear the good news of Jesus and receive Him will also become wells. Now think about springs. Unlike a spilled glass of water a spring is a continually flowing source of water. In the mountains when all of them are flowing they pour out and make creeks. Creeks make rivers that deepen as they go until they make oceans. The Body of Christ is a whole bunch of springs, which together are springs for healing, for reviving parched land and arid hearts.

Ezek.47:10 Where the river flows, life abounds. Fishermen will stand shoulder to shoulder along the shore from En-gedi all the way north to En-eglaim, casting their nets. The sea will teem with fish of all kinds, like the fish of the Great Mediterranean. Now Matt.4:19, “Jesus said to them, "Come with me. I'll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I'll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass." They didn't ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed. (The Message Bible).” Stay tuned…….
